Washington Monument

Postcard of the Washington Monument pointing south at its original location near the center of Washington Square Park. This bronze equestrian statue is a replica of one designed by Henry Merwin Shrady for display in Brooklyn, New York. This vantage point faces west towards Union Station in the background. The defunct 23rd Street between Grand Avenue and Main Street is shown behind the monument to the center and right.

Three Women in Zimmerman Park

Photograph of three women standing on a stony outcropping in Zimmerman Park circa 1930s. The area, owned by Adolph Zimmerman, was cultivated as a private park and was located northeast of Stilwell, Kansas. The property was purchased by the YMCA and operated as a camp from 1943 to 1998. 

The Piazzetta

Long stone bench located in The Piazzetta, a woman with a basket of flowers sits in the center of the bench. The Piazzetta (now called Strawn Park after Farrell Clifford Strawn) is located between 63rd Street, Summit Street, and Valley Road in the Greenway Fields subdivision of Kansas City, Missouri. This vantage point faces southwest towards undeveloped land beyond the southern tip of the park. The bench and accompanying statues pictured have since been moved to the northern edge of the park bordering 63rd Street.
