Program from the edication ceremony of the new United States Court House and Post Office on Pershing Road. Federal judge Merrill E. Otis presided over the event, with guests including Senator Bennett "Champ" Clark, Senator Harry Truman, and Governor Lloyd C. Stark. Music was provided by the Letter Carriers' Band, and the event was broadcast by WDAF Radio. The program also includes photographs and histories of earlier Kansas City federal buildings, and a list of the agencies that will be housed in the new facility.

When he became bishop of Kansas City in 1939, Bishop O'Hara brought with him a national reputation for progressive achievements. The clergyman decided early in his career that education was the key to success for individuals and the church.

Letter from the priests of the Holy Rosary Church to Edwin V. O'Hara, Bishop of Kansas City. The priests express concern that affixing boundary lines to Kansas City parishes would be a detriment to the future of the Holy Rosary Church in Columbus Park. They explain that many Italian families living outside of the neighborhood far prefer Holy Rosary as this parish provides spiritual welfare for those most comfortable speaking Italian.
