Plea in bar in Criminal Case No. 8647: United States vs. Frank "Chee Chee" DeMayo, Abe Schneider, Jack Clarkson, Joe Maniscalao (alias Joe Mancello), and Joe Deblume, defendants. The document states that DeMayo and his codefendants were indicted in May 1928 in U.S. District Court, Northern District of Oklahoma, for conspiring with L. L. Kesley to bring "intoxicating liquor" into Tulsa, Oklahoma, by automobile, as well as bringing alcohol into the Indian Territory, which was prohibited by federal law.
