Hocker Grove Pamphlet

Description: 

Copy of the cover of a pamphlet advertising the Hocker Grove subdivision in Merriam, Kansas, circa 1915. The subdivision was between roughly 55th Street and Johnson Drive, west of Turkey Creek. The subdivision was served by the Kansas City and Olathe Line, an interurban railway line. Both the subdivision and rail line were developed by Richard W. Hocker. The pamphlet cover features a tree and birds in flight, and the text: "The Home for You / Natural Gas / Rock Road" and "Just 35 minutes from Union Station by Electric Railroad." Hocker's offices are listed as located at 408 Gumbel Building in Kansas City, Missouri.
