Letter from John Joseph Gausch to Lloyd C. Stark, prior to Stark's election as governor, noting that Pendergast announced his support for Stark on October 16, 1935. Gausch reports that Stark also has the endorsement of St. Louis's 16th Ward and 28th Ward Democratic organizations in the August primary, and that "St Louis German American Citizens have had [him] in mind as our choice for Candidate." He also thanks Stark for his good work as chairman of the Citizens Good Roads Committee.
