Megan Dennis

Megan Dennis earned her PhD and MA from the University of Kansas and her BA from William Jewell College. She holds a graduate certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from KU (Fall 2018). Dennis studies twentieth-century United States literatures with an emphasis in African American literature. Her dissertation examines representations of victims across the genre of crime literature through case studies that illuminate the intersection of identity with audiences’ understandings of victimhood. In spring of 2018, Dennis was the recipient of an Applied Humanities Summer Fellowship at the Kansas City Public Library through the Hall Center for the Humanities at the University of Kansas.
