Postcard of the Sears, Roebuck & Company warehouse, administration, and retail buildings, built in 1925 at the southwest corner of 15th Street (now Truman Road) and Cleveland Avenue. Also pictured are company buildings in Dallas, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Seattle.

Postcard of the Kansas City-Smithville Race Track, once located east of Bridge Street and north of Little Platte River in Smithville, Missouri. The track was used for illegal betting for a brief period in the late 1920s.

Postcard of the Hotel Commonwealth, once located on the west side Broadway Boulevard between 12th and 13th Streets. The card comments that the hotel is, "Just One Block from Kansas City's New Municipal Auditorium."

Postcard of the Bellerive Hotel at the northeast corner of Armour Boulevard and Warwick Boulevard. It was designed by Preston J. Bradshaw and opened on November 9, 1922.

Postcard of Main Street Theater, built in 1921 at the southwest corner of 14th Street and Main Street. It was used for vaudeville and cinema and had a seating capacity of 3,000. A tunnel from the theater leading northwest to Hotel President was used by bootleggers fleeing law enforcement during Prohibition.

Postcard of the cattle breeder's building of the American Hereford Association, located at the northwest corner of Central Street and 11th Street and occupied by the association from 1919 to 1953.

Association rules of the Kansas City YMCA, as incorporated May 25, 1896, reincorporated May 20, 1916, and amended February 28, 1928. By-laws have been adopted December 20, 1912, re-adopted June 20, 1917, Dec. 28, 1923, amended June 10, 1929, amended October 15, 1937, and then again amended September 10, 1939.

Postcard of the American Legion Fountain that was once at 9th and Main streets, later relocated to the Budd Park Esplanade at Van Brunt Boulevard and Anderson Avenue. This vantage point faces north and shows Main Street north of 9th Street. Also pictured is the Westgate Hotel to the left.
